Terms & Policies

Kid Management

Almost all of our kids are dam-raised, as we believe that this is what is healthiest and best for their growth and development. However, all kids are taught to take a bottle. We believe that this brings out the best of both kid raising methods, as our goat kids are very friendly yet are “natural goats”! All kids are disbudded, given a CD&T vaccination, and are on a coccidiosis prevention program prior to leaving our farm. In general, dam-raised buck kids are weaned around 10 weeks of age and dam-raised doe kids are weaned around 12-14 weeks of age.

Prices

Kids are priced according to their pedigree, dam’s udder, parents’ performance records, and parents’ show records (if applicable). Eye color and coat color (i.e. moonspots) do not influence our prices, as those are simply nice “extras” that do not impact the dairy quality of a goat! Doe kids are priced at $650 and up. Buck kids are priced at $300 and up. Wether kids are $150 each or $250 for a pair. Adult goats are priced according to their pedigree, performance records, and show records. We do offer discounts to performance homes (DHIR/LA) and show homes. We also offer discounts to 4-H’ers and agricultural students, repeat buyers, and for multiple goat purchases.

Reservations & Deposits

Please contact us if you would like to make a reservation. We do not require a deposit to make a reservation. Once kids are born, you will have 1 week to decide if you want to purchase the kid that you reserved and we will require a nonrefundable $100 deposit to hold the kid (which will be applied to the kid’s purchase price). The kid must be picked up by 14 weeks of age. After this time, boarding rates of $10/week will apply.

With adult goats, a nonrefundable deposit of $200 will hold the goat (which will be applied to the goat’s purchase price). The goat must be picked up within 30 days. After this time, boarding rates of $15/week will apply.

We reserve the right to retain any goat, kid or adult, at any time. Should we decide to retain a goat that you have put a deposit on, your deposit will either be refunded or can be transferred to another goat. Nonrefundable deposits are only refunded in this instance, or in the instance of something happening to the goat while in our care. Should you decide to back out on the purchase of a goat that you have put a deposit on, our agreement is completed and your deposit will not be refunded.

Payment

Goats must be paid in full before they can leave our property. This includes the purchase price, any boarding fees or transport fees, and any health certificates or health testing that you, the buyer, request. We greatly prefer Zelle and/or cash for payment. Zelle is instant and very easy to use, and does not charge you, the buyer, or us, the sellers, any fees (https://www.zellepay.com/). We will email you a receipt if Zelle has been used for a payment. We will only accept personal checks if they have cleared prior to picking up the goat. Due to too many past issues with PayPal, we do not and will not use it. For credit card payments, we accept Square and are able to send you an invoice or run your credit card once you get to the farm. A charge of 2.9% plus $0.30 will be added to all credit card payments to cover credit card fees. Thank you!

Transport

You, the buyer, are responsible for picking up and/or arranging and paying for necessary transport for any and all goats. However, we do occasionally offer affordable transport to Washington DC, Charlotte (NC), Pigeon Forge (TN), Columbus (OH), and Sarasota (FL). If transport is arranged through us, we require the full purchase price of any and all goats to be paid for *in full* prior to our departure – no exceptions.

Sales Policy

Any and all goats leaving our herd are sound and healthy at the time of leaving our property. However, there are many environmental factors that remain well out of our control and therefore once a goat leaves our property, we cannot warrant its soundness or health. Therefore, we are under no obligation to take back any goat once it leaves our property and we cannot guarantee a goat’s soundness or health once it leaves our property.

All sales are final.

If you have any questions regarding any of our terms, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for considering purchasing our quality animals!
